And the one we've all been waiting for....

I was on strike, but FMN is only two weeks away and I can see that most of you need at least that long to find the show. So.........

AMY'S CHOICE

This was my favorite movie the year I graduated from high school. It was one of the only shows I took with me to Dixie. I haven't seen it in a decade and really don't remember it very well. But lately I only seem to like really funny comedies that everyone's seen a dozen times. So, if it's terrible...que sera sera.

I'm counting on everyone to be extremely excited about snuggling up and watching Contact with me on April 18th.

Didn't you love this show when you were younger? I remember the name and cover, but after watching the trailer, it doesn't bring back memories of ever watching it. Fun!

Okay that was freaking awesome. I'm the best movie picker in the world. During that last speech when Jodie says she couldn't deny it, I heard the words of that scripture from JSH where he says, "I knew it and God knew it and I could not deny it." (or something like that) I haven't seen that show for 10 years, but it was definitely worth a re-watch. Amy, you're the coolest.

P.S. If you want to watch a movie that's even better than Contact, you can find one here:

Nate here,

I'd just like to point out that Jodie Foster, while perhaps mildly pleasant to look upon, cannot not hold a candle to the awe-inspiring glorious beauty that is Amy. Thank you and good night.

I am very proud of us because we watched the movie on the very night that we were suppose to. Just think, Amy and Nate, we must have been watching it about the same time..I had not remembered the conflict between science and religion. We went into the special features and they talked about the differece between the movie and the novel. While the movie had things happen over a relative short amount of time the novel spanned many years. Has anyone ever read the novel? The point of the movie, somethings you just know and believe because you know.
But, the rich man was a bit freaky and the people shouting that they had no right to go looking for God, I thought was a bit silly. Why would they think that the ship that was built would take someone to God? If they were against this that bad, their faith could not have been very strong. Kinda like those who fight against our Chruch from the early days right down to today. Why are they so against something when they have their own beliefs that should give them peace? I do like the movie. Mom

That was a great movie. I had forgotten what it was about it had been so long. Those boys from Vega really know how to throw a party, Disneyland/Star Wars ride and all. They ought to design a bigger car so that more than one can come.

I remember watching this show in High School and loved it, Watching it this time was the same way, I loved it as well. I really enjoyed the visual effects, I didnt really enjoy how he left her because he was a jerk. I was impressed when she went to space and the alien made her believe that he was her father, however I did feel bad when she found out that it wasnt, However I think that thing I liked about it was the graphics and the visual effects.

I loved this show. I have seen it before but only remembered a few parts of it. It was definitely worth watching again. A thought- What was the alien really? A spirit or a being from another world?
