Back Before Johnny Depp Became Super Weird....

Mindy's Pick!

For some reason early Johnny Depp makes me think of early Keanu Reeves. Maybe I'll pick "Bill and Ted's" for my movie. Perhaps we should have a whole series of movies named after two people. On the other hand, even though I've never seen it, this movie makes me think of my high school drama experience. It was sort of a cult flick, I think. "Strictly Ballroom," anyone? Okay, I'm just flailing for things to say because I don't know anything about this movie. That's the best kind!

Watch it with me on March 19th. Add it to your queue today!

And speaking of netflix, anyone who has it needs to put the kiddos to bed (because they'll find it boring-not offensive) and start watching "Yes, Minister." I realize the first couple of episodes are dull, but it gets SO hilarious. You will all love it. Okay, maybe just I'll love it. But I want to share the love with the people I love.

Love Always,

Amy

Here I was thinking how sad it was that I had watched this show so late. Imagine my surprise to long onto the computer and discover that I would be the very first reviewer. Sad, Sad. Sad. And speaking of sad, that's kinda what I thought about the show. Do you suppose that this movie stole the ironed sandwich thing from Mr. Mom or vice versa? They both look like they're from about the same time period. I'll have to look it up.

Thanks, Mindy!

I loved the part where he used the iron to make a sandwich. I have always wanted to try it, just have not had to guts to. I love this movie, because although it was sad at times, I really admired June's brother because he had to deal with so much,(having to raise a child with special needs is not an easy job) so I felt like I could relate to him on some levels. I also liked the love story in it, the lengths that Johnny Depp took for her. When she was locked in a hospital he was swinging on a tree just so he would let her know that he was there for her. I guess you could say I'm a hopless romantic but I love this show. Thanks for the pick Mindy,
(Amy I look forward to Bill and Ted's Adventures, I need a good laugh).
