Cheri's Choice and a Rebuke

Okay, I realize that nobody really wants to do family movie night with me (except maybe Amanda), but I am not going to quit, so you can all just cope. Got it. Good.

So, since it's already the end of the month and SOME people in this family might be in the middle of the ocean, Cheri and Ben's picks will hang out for another month. Watch Ben's any time during May and Watch Cheri's on Scott's birthday.

Here tis:

I've seen this play a few times and really loved it. I am excited to watch the movie. Thanks, Cheri!

Ben's Choice For the Cousins

I'm excited about this one. I don't think any of my kids have seen it and I can't wait to see whether they like it or not. Thanks, Ben!

Back Before Johnny Depp Became Super Weird....

Mindy's Pick!

For some reason early Johnny Depp makes me think of early Keanu Reeves. Maybe I'll pick "Bill and Ted's" for my movie. Perhaps we should have a whole series of movies named after two people. On the other hand, even though I've never seen it, this movie makes me think of my high school drama experience. It was sort of a cult flick, I think. "Strictly Ballroom," anyone? Okay, I'm just flailing for things to say because I don't know anything about this movie. That's the best kind!

Watch it with me on March 19th. Add it to your queue today!

And speaking of netflix, anyone who has it needs to put the kiddos to bed (because they'll find it boring-not offensive) and start watching "Yes, Minister." I realize the first couple of episodes are dull, but it gets SO hilarious. You will all love it. Okay, maybe just I'll love it. But I want to share the love with the people I love.

Love Always,

Amy

Corrine's Tasty Selection

Corrine has picked out February cousin movie of the month. I actually saw this at the dollars with my kiddos. I have to admit, I laughed my head off. It was the most ridiculous plot line imaginable, but it was so loaded with cleverness that I really enjoyed it. The kids can't wait to see it again. Thanks, Corrine!

Troy's February Treat

I've never heard of this movie, but I am realizing that's not unusual. Since we've been without traditional television for the last 5 years, we can't keep up. I've never heard of any of the movies being nominated for awards this year. It looks adventurous, though! Troy, not surprisingly, didn't tell me why he picked this movie. I'm going to speculate that it's because he was tired of the namby-pansy touchy feely nonsense that the rest of us have been dishing out. Watch our February movie with us on the 20th. It's going to be exciting!

An Update

I just got the January choice from Troy and I still haven't heard from Corrine. I will post those, but I think they should wait until February. Mom was pretty hurt that so many of us hadn't had the time to watch "Taking Chance." Tomorrow is family movie night. Let's watch it for January. Mom would like everyone to know that it doesn't count until you comment. Thanks to Cheri and Amanda for already doing it. The rest of us had better get on the ball.

Thanks!
